And . . .   we're back!!
It was an enjoyable few days in Salt Lake City.  We went and viewed the Great Salt Lake from a different place and it was interesting to see Antelope Island (where we had gone a couple of days prior) from a distance.

On April 16/14 we headed out for Fort Hall Idaho on I15.

We saw a lot of cattle the whole trip and it was interesting how sometimes the mountains were in the distance and it looked like prairie and then a little ways down the road there were mountains again.  The pass through the mountains was more fun for the passenger than the driver.  The weather wasn't too bad and the roads were clear when we went through the mountains. We stayed one night and then headed to Great Falls, Montana.

Of course a lot more snow at the higher elevations. The statue really stood out against the black rock in the middle picture.

This little river went on for miles and miles - it was the waviest river I have ever seen.  It doesn't take much to amuse me as we drive and I watched it a long time.

Amazing how many cows we saw along the way.  They were pretty entertaining also, the little calves were out running and playing.  I also managed to see a couple of blue birds sitting on fence posts.

This was in Glasgow Montana, where we stayed on the 18th.  There was a huge storm brewing and luckily it just sort of went around us.
And, it was so cold - even the polar bears were blue.
Luckily, they had signs pointing to Canada so all the snow birds could get home.
We drove through Williston and it was very apparent that it is one booming town.  There were tons of these camps for oil workers to live in as well as lots of spots for RV's and such.  I enjoyed bird watching in North Dakota, there were countless meadow larks and beautiful pheasants.
We went through the border crossing at Noonan/Estevan after a very windy drive from Glasgow.  The crossing was very pleasant, no other cars were even there and we had no issues at all as far as what we were bringing back etc.
Once we saw this we knew we were just about ready to park for the night.  This is the power plant near Estevan, Sask.  We arrived in Canada on the 19th just in time to spend the Easter weekend with our families.  Kylie also drove down from Prince Albert, although she had to leave on Monday.  We stayed until Friday morning.  We had a great time visiting, eating and even got a little sun in my mom and dad's back yard one day.  Also a nice hot tub night at my sister's house too!  There was no snow at all in Estevan but there was a fair bit of wind and some rain.

I took these pictures from Marj's (Don's mom) apartment balcony in Estevan.
Once we got to Saskatoon we booked into Gordie Howe campground.  We had planned to stay only until May 1/14 and then head to Prince Albert but then . . .
Two days of waking up to snow!  There is even more moisture in Prince Albert and they have to wait for the ground to dry at the place we are going.  So we are here until the 7th of May.   I promised myself I would finish off the blog to complete our trip and get started on my resume and apply for some jobs.  Also we have been able to see lots of friends and family in Saskatoon so that has been great.
It was a great season, we managed to visit 13 states and meet many new friends.
